Grant Guidelines: Green Pastures Fund
The Green Pastures Fund was established at Berkshire Taconic Community Foundation in 1999 by an anonymous donor. The fundís mission is to preserve and encourage small, community-based agricultural ventures which might include, but are not limited to: community-supported agriculture; local farmersí markets; urban garden programs; agricultural scholarships; cooperative programming; internships; grantwriting; and marketing.
The Foundation does not support organizations which in their constitution, by-laws, or practice, discriminate against a person or group on the basis of age, race, national origin, ethnicity, gender, disability, sexual orientation, political affiliation or religious belief.
The fund awards grants quarterly. Grants generally range from $1,000 to $3,000.
Applicants will be informed of Berkshire Taconicís decision within one month of the deadline date.
All applications will be reviewed according to the following criteria:
Applications will be reviewed by the anonymous fund advisors. Their recommendations will be reviewed by Berkshire Taconicís board of directors.
