Grant Guidelines: Millerton Grange Scholarship Fund

The Millerton Grange Scholarship Fund is a non-endowed fund created from the proceeds of the sale of the Millerton Grange building.

Eligibility

Be a high school senior who is a resident of the Town of North East or the Village of Millerton; demonstrate motivation and academic achievement; demonstrate financial need; and be planning to study agriculture or agribusiness.

Awards

Award Amount: Up to $2,500.00.

Applicants will be informed of Berkshire Taconic’s decision within two months of the deadline date.

Review Criteria

The committee will review requests for scholarships according to the following criteria:

  • Potential for success beyond high school, including evaluation of the applicant’s career ambitions
  • Efforts and ambitions to achieve his/her career and life goals
  • Financial need
  • Significance of the scholarship award to the student

    • Applications will be reviewed by the Berkshire Taconic Community Foundation Scholarship Committee. This is a committee of area residents who are active in community affairs. Their recommendations will be reviewed by Berkshire Taconic’s Board of Directors.
