Communications Associate
Berkshire Taconic Community Foundation seeks a part-time (20 hours/week) communications associate to support the communications director.
Responsibilities
The communications associate supports the foundation’s communication director.
This job will include, but is not limited to, the following tasks:
- Writing and distributing press releases
- Proofreading
- Mail merges for letters and other mailings
- Developing PowerPoint presentations
- Making routine changes to website content using Dreamweaver
- Putting packets together
- Copying and binding communications materials
- Maintaining press clippings
- Coordination with printers, graphic designers
Qualifications
The successful candidate will have:- 2-3 years' experience in communications or public relations
- Strong written and oral communications skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word and PowerPoint
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines
- Excellent attention to detail
- Familiarity with the following software is preferred: Dreamweaver, Excel, database management
Compensation
Compensation is hourly and commensurate with experience and skills.
