Grants Awarded to Support Jewish Culture and Learning, Next Deadline April 1

SHEFFIELD, MA—Three local projects have received grants from the Wassermann-Streit Y'DIYAH Memorial Fund, an endowment of Berkshire Taconic Community Foundation. The Y’DIYAH fund supports programs that facilitate knowledge and understanding of the history, culture and practice of traditional Judaism.
The Fund awarded grants totaling $1,311 to the following nonprofit groups:
North Chatham Free Library, NY: $411 for acquisitions for the library that focus on traditional Judaism.
Bernice Lewis for the “History Alive” program to be presented in Bennington VT.
Music and More, New Marlborough, MA: $400 for Seth Rogovoy’s presentation on the influence of Judaism on Bob Dylan.
The next deadline for grant applications for the Wassermann-Streit Y’DIYAH Memorial Fund is April 1. Applications are available online.
