How to Use Your Donor Advised Fund

With a donor-advised fund, you and your family can support a community, organization or program important to you. You may make contributions to your fund and recommend grants whenever you wish, as well as receive an immediate charitable income tax deduction whenever you add assets to your fund.

Donor advisor Tom Quinn and family recommend a fund at Berkshire Taconic Community Foundation.Berkshire Taconic verifies the charitable status and mission of the organizations you support and handles all investment and administrative details.

You can leave a future gift that costs nothing now. Your donor advised fund can be the vehicle for your charitable giving after your lifetime, changing it to an endowed fund upon your death and creating a list of charities to receive grants on an ongoing basis in your name. Name your donor advised fund in your will and become a member of our legacy circle.

Contact BTCF if you have set aside a gift and wish to join our society of forward thinkers—donors who are planning for our community’s future.
