Berkshire Taconic to Present its Investment Strategies

Great Barrington, MA — Berkshire Taconic Community Foundation will hold two sessions on Monday, November 5, to discuss its investment strategies and policies for growing charitable funds. The meetings will be from 8:30-10 a.m. at Seven Hills Inn & Restaurant in Lenox, MA, and from noon-1:30 p.m. at the Wake Robin Inn in Lakeville, CT. Members of Berkshire Taconic’s investment committee and Prime, Buchholz & Associates, Inc., a nationally recognized leader in independent advisory services, will speak about risk evaluations, new asset classes for diversification and risk management, and Berkshire Taconic’s historical portfolio performance.
The sessions are free and open to the public. Breakfast will be available at the Seven Hills session and lunch will be served at session at the Wake Robin Inn. Pre-registration is required; participants may register by calling 413-528-8039 or emailing info@berkshiretaconic.org.
Now in its 20th year, Berkshire Taconic is the community foundation for Berkshire County, MA; Columbia County and northeast Dutchess County, NY; and northwest Litchfield County, Connecticut. The foundation’s mission is to build stronger communities and a better quality of life for all residents in the region it serves.
Berkshire Taconic houses more than 500 funds, including 26 education enrichment funds to benefit the area’s public school children and 11 area funds to support non¬profit groups in every town and city in its region. The foundation manages more than $80 million in assets, of which $29 million are endowed resources that will support the community in perpetuity. Since 1987, Berkshire Taconic has distributed more than $60 million in grants and scholarships.
