Northeast Dutchess COVID-19 Response

COVID-19 Response for Northeast Dutchess County

Berkshire Taconic and its Northeast Dutchess Fund are rapidly deploying flexible resources to trusted social service providers working with northeast Dutchess County residents who are impacted by the coronavirus pandemic.

The foundation's Neighbor-to-Neighbor Fund makes emergency grants for medical, food, utility and other critical baseline services for people in crisis. Berkshire Taconic and the Northeast Dutchess Fund are currently directing Neighbor-to-Neighbor funds to client advocates who work with nonprofit partners Dutchess County Community Action Partnership, Grace Immigrant Outreach and the North East Community Center. These grants will provide aid to local individuals and families in the face of the current emergency.

Generous donors have contributed more than $70,000 to the Neighbor-to-Neighbor Fund. All donations will go directly to our partners serving residents of Amenia, Clinton Corners, Dover, Millbrook, Millerton, North East, Pine Plains, Stanford, Washington, Wassaic, Wingdale and their hamlets.

The Northeast Dutchess Fund regularly supports nonprofits that provide services to residents of northeast Dutchess County. The fund's committee acknowledges that nonprofits are facing unique challenges during this pandemic and will consider applications for critical needs of organizations in this grant cycle. Applications were due May 1.

Individuals in crisis may contact social service agencies to submit an application on their behalf.
