Central Berkshire Fund

The Central Berkshire Fund was formed in 2001 by Dalton native and Wahconah Regional High School graduate David Mixer ’60. Now a resident of Rhode Island, David wanted to support the area where he grew up. He also wanted to invite broader participation by the community by building an endowed Area Fund to provide ongoing support and serve as a permanent community resource.

What Does the Fund Support?

The Central Berkshire Fund support programs in the arts, education, environment, health and social services in Dalton and the surrounding hilltowns.

Grants have supported food pantries, enrichment programs for schools, community recreational trails, youth empowerment programs and emergency relief for struggling families through Neighbor-to-Neighbor.

How Can I Give to the Fund?
