The Fund for Columbia County
In 1998, a group of citizens who felt passionately about Columbia County partnered with Berkshire Taconic to establish the Fund for Columbia County.
Columbia County’s distinctive character and diversity help make it an extraordinary place. From the historic urban center of Hudson to its exquisite rural charms, it’s easy to see how special a place it is. However, there are many needs in such a large and diverse area.
What Does the Fund Support?
The fund helps nonprofit organizations who are addressing local needs, actively working to create strong communities, providing programs and services in the arts and culture, education, environment, health and social services as well as Neighbor-to-Neighbor, which provides emergency assistance for local families in need.
How Can I apply?
The Fund for Columbia County’s Grants for Community Impact and Grants for Aging with Dignity provide funding for projects and services that have a deep, lasting and positive impact on the residents and seniors of Columbia County, with particular emphasis on low-income and/or underserved residents. Applications for both grant cycles are due March 1.
The fund will also provide funding for community groups that are in the process of becoming a nonprofit organization. Grants will be awarded on a rolling basis until all funds are expended.
