Antonio and Antoinette Pieropan Scholarship Fund
The Antonio and Antoinette Pieropan Scholarship Fund provides support to residents of Stockbridge or West Stockbridge. Eligible candidates are individuals with significant financial need, who demonstrate character and motivation, and who are 21 years old or younger at the date of application, provided they have graduated from high school, will graduate in the year of application, or have received a GED. Recipients may apply to renew their scholarships as long as they continue to meet the award criteria up to a maximum of $15,000, or $3,750 annually. Applications are due March 15.
Caligari Family Scholarship Fund
The Caligari Family Scholarship Fund awards $1,000 to graduating seniors of Monument Mountain Regional High School who are entering their first year of a two-year or four-year college or university with a goal of pursuing a career in an art or design-related field. Applications are due March 15.
Charles and Elinore Agar Scholarship Fund
The Charles and Elinore Agar Scholarship Fund supports graduating seniors of Monument Mountain Regional High School who are entering their first year of a two-year or four-year nationally accredited college or university with a particular interest in science, engineering, history or creative writing. Applications are due March 15.
Honorable James P. Dohoney Scholarship Fund
The Honorable James P. Dohoney Scholarship Fund supports graduating seniors of Monument Mountain Regional High School, Mount Everett Regional High School, Lenox Memorial High School or Lee High School who are entering their first year of a two-year or four-year college or university. Awards of $8,000 to $10,000 are given to well-rounded individuals, prioritizing those with financial need. Applications are due March 15.
Housatonic School Scholarship Fund
The Housatonic School Scholarship Fund supports graduates of the Housatonic School and residents of Housatonic pursuing a post-secondary education and prior Housatonic School Scholarship recipients. Applicants must show significant evidence of a contribution to the community during high school and demonstrate efforts and ambitions to achieve their academic goals. Awards are $1,000. Applications are due March 15.
Karen Kisslinger Scholarship Fund
The Karen Kisslinger Scholarship Fund supports graduating high school seniors of Housatonic Valley Regional High School (Conn.), Webutuck High School (New York) or Monument Mountain Regional High School (Mass.) who have a demonstrated interest and passion for community health. Apply by March 15.
McLaughlin-Wilson Scholarship Fund
The McLaughlin-Wilson Scholarship Fund supports graduating seniors who are residents of Monterey and are entering their first year of a two- or four-year college or university. Recipients may apply to renew their scholarships as long as they continue to meet the award criteria. In addition to merit, the scholarship considers the applicant’s financial need in determining the amount of any award. Awards generally range between $1,000 - $7,500. Applications are due March 15.
Myrtle and Raymond Mercier Scholarship Award
The Myrtle and Raymond Mercier Scholarship Award grants $5,000 or more to one graduating senior that is not the first or second ranked student in the class. The scholarship emphasizes a motivated, well-rounded individual as evidenced by participation in extracurricular and in-school activities. Eligibility depends on an individual that is a resident of Stockbridge and enrolling in a two-year or four-year accredited college or university to pursue a technical, associate’s or bachelor’s degree. Applications are due March 15.
West Stockbridge Grange Scholarship Fund
The West Stockbridge Grange Scholarship Fund provides at least one annual scholarship of $1,000 to graduating seniors who are residents of Great Barrington, Richmond, West Stockbridge or Stockbridge. The scholarship emphasizes post-secondary studies that ultimately benefit the community in which the student lives, such as agriculture, natural resource conservation, nursing or teaching. Apply by March 15.
COUNTY SPECIFIC
Ben Paley Scholarship Fund
The Ben Paley Scholarship Fund supposts seniors graduating from a public high school in Berkshire County and northwest Litchfield County who wish to study music at a two- or four-year college or university. Awards of $1,000 will be granted. Apply by March 15.
Cella Family Scholarship Fund
The Cella Family Scholarship Fund awards $1,150 to an academically eligible graduating high school senior who has been employed in good standing at a Berkshire County Pro Shop, or caddie, for a minimum of 150 hours since April of the previous year. Eligibility depends on a GPA of 2.5 or higher.
Guido's Fresh Marketplace Scholarship Fund
The Guido's Fresh Marketplace Scholarship Fund supports graduating high school students who are residents of Berkshire County who are entering their first year of a two- or four-year college or university to pursue studies in physical education, health and wellness, or business studies. Each year, at least one award of $1,000 will be granted. Applications are due March 15.
The Jamie Fund
The Jamie Fund awards $1,500 or more annually to one graduating high school senior of Berkshire County who is planning to attend an accredited college, university, vocational-technical or professional institute in the United States to study music or the vocational arts. Apply by March 15.
P.D. and Lucy Graybeal Wyantenuck Scholarship Fund
The P.D. and Lucy Graybeal Wyantenuck Scholarship supports children and grandchildren of Wyantenuck Country Club members or full-time employees. One award of up to $7,000 is given each year to a high school senior pursuing a higher education degree. Applications are due March 15.
Rhoda Rubin Memorial Nursing Scholarship Fund
The Rhoda Rubin Memorial Nursing Scholarship Fund provides $1,000 awards to residents of Berkshire County who are pursuing a degree of any kind in nursing at Berkshire Community College. Applications are invited from graduating high school seniors or older students. Priority is given to women who are single parents and maintaining an independent household, as well as low-income students in good academic standing. Apply by March 15.
William J. Newton Scholarship Fund
The William J. Newton Scholarship Fund provides $1,000 awards to individuals who are pursuing training in trade and industrial fields. Residents of Berkshire County who are enrolled or planning to enroll in a two-year program at a community college or a technology curriculum in a community college, technical, vocational or trade school are eligible. Apply by March 15.
William Stanley Scholarship Fund
The William Stanley Scholarship Fund awards a $12,000 scholarship ($3,000 per year up to four years) to a Berkshire County resident based on academic achievement, community service and financial need. Applicants must be planning to attend a two- or four-year college. Apply by March 15.
Women’s Club of the Berkshires Scholarship Fund
The Women’s Club of the Berkshires Scholarship Fund provides support to females living in Berkshire County. There is one award of $1,200 given each year to a high school senior going to college, and one $1,200 award to a returning, non-traditional or transfer student. Preference is given to applicants who demonstrate a commitment to pursue a career that will benefit girls and women in Berkshire County. Apply by March 15.
REGIONAL
Alice & Richard Henriquez Memorial Fund/Youth World Awareness Program
The Alice and Richard Henriquez Memorial Fund/Youth World Awareness Program provides grants to students ages 14 - 22 for international travel and service. Grants range from $500 - $1,500 for individual applicants; larger grants may be considered for groups. Applications are due January 31.
Andrea Wagner Women in Science Scholarship Fund
Andrea Wagner Women in Science Scholarship Fund provides an award of $1,150 each year to a female resident of the Berkshire Taconic region who is currently enrolled at a four-year college and majoring in natural or physical sciences or engineering. Applicants should carry a minimum overall GPA of 3.3. Apply by March 15.
The Ferris Burtis Scholarship Fund
The Ferris Burtis Scholarship Fund encourages young musicians to pursue careers in classical music. Graduating high school seniors of the Berkshire Taconic region who have been accepted in a conservatory or school of music for the fall term for the purpose of pursuing a career in some form of classical music may apply for one award of $2,000. This award will be renewable for up to three additional years. Apply by March 15.
Moonlight Mile Scholarship Fund
The Moonlight Mile Scholarship Fund provides $500 to $1,200 to women at least 18 years of age who are residents of Massachusetts or New York that are seeking matching funds to support travel or equipment needs for study or athletic competition, professional training, or support for alternative healing. Apply by March 15.
The New World Fund Scholarship
The New World Fund scholarship offers support to new immigrants who have been in the United States for five years or less and are studying toward a degree at Berkshire Community College, show leadership skills and who have financial need. Scholarship recipients are awarded $1,000 and may reapply for funding for a second school year. Apply by March 8.
Simple Gifts Fund
The Simple Gifts Fund awards grants to young people ages 13 - 19 for participation in cultural or creative summer programs. Grants range from $200 - $800. Apply by March 15.
